Why Nanai y Café?
The name comes from two words that represent us. Nanai comes from "Nanay", a Quechua word — a native language of Peru — that describes the caress someone gives you when you're sad. We chose it because Daniela is Peruvian, and because when we're sad we almost always think of something delicious. Café represents Ashley's Colombian culture, home to some of the best coffee in the world. Together, Nanai and Café speak to the same idea: sweetening moments, sad or happy, with something made with love.

That's why our logo tells a story too. Nanai is the little girl who represents us: we believe there's no more honest caress than a child's. Café is the puppy by her side, because there's no purer comfort than a pet's. Nanai fronts the cakes we make for people, and Café — in her own coffee-brown color — fronts the ones we make for the dogs of the house.
